Supreme Court of India has dismissed a plea challenging NEET-SS 2025 exam schedule clash with university examinations of final-year. Now the exam will be held as per the updated dates December 26 and 27, 2025.

A bench led by Chief Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice Augustine George Masih heard the petition that highlighted a possible clash between NEET-SS exam dates 2025 and final-year university examinations for MD, MS, and DNB courses in various medical colleges across the country. While delivering the verdict, CJI B.R. Gavai clearly stated, “This is a matter of policy. We cannot intervene. Dismissed”.

During the hearing, advocates representing NEET-SS aspirants argued that the revised schedule and multiple notifications issued by National Board of Examinations one even during a judicial vacation caused inconvenience to many students. However, the Court emphasized that examination schedules fall under policy matters, and it would not interfere with such administrative decisions.
Medical postgraduates planning to appear in the exam NEET-SS 2025 should note that the Supreme Court’s ruling upholds the NBE’s revised schedule. NEET-SS 2025 exam originally schedule for November 7, 8, 2025, is now take place on revised dates December 26, 27, 2025.
